Vegan Hemp Seed Pesto

Have you ever tried hemp seeds?
Hemp seeds are exceptionally nutritious and rich in healthy fats, protein and various minerals.
When I first tried them they reminded me of pine nuts and from here came the inspiration to prepare a delicious Hemp Seeds Pesto!

It takes less than 10 minutes to prepare homemade pesto and it’s much healthier and tastier than the one you find in the supermarkets.

(I haven’t found any brands that I like yet, so for me there so no comparison!)

Besides that, most of the pestos you find in the supermarkets have a low percentage of basil, high content of salt, contain nuts (not ideal for those with a nut allergy) and don’t contain extra virgin olive oil which, trust me, makes such a big difference!

The one I’m proposing is a vegan recipe but if you normally eat dairy,  feel free to add a few tbsp of grated pecorino/parmesan (instead of the nutritional yeast).
